First Swimming Weekend

Hey, now that summer is over I thought I would finally post pictures from our first weekend swimming at Gran & Grandaddy's from WAY back in May.  I will get caught up eventually here.  :)

Memorial Day weekend we headed to Tyler to spend some time with my family and enjoy some pool time.  It was a great, fun weekend and we were excited to start our summer this way again this year and to introduce Zachary to the pool.  I am very happy to report that he loves the water and was mostly happy whenever he was in his little float.

Pre-K Graduation

Still catching up here...

In mid-June Tyler's school had a graduation ceremony for the Pre-K classes.  It was a packed house to see them in all their cuteness decked out in cap n gowns.

Our sweet little guy is growing up too fast!

Visit from Gran & Grandaddy

My parents came up for a day visit earlier this Spring and we went bowling.  It had been awhile since we'd been and Tyler enjoyed it a lot more this time now that he is bigger and stronger... we may have to think about a bowling party next year for his birthday.

More goofiness with Gran and Grandaddy
After Gran smoked Tyler in a game of Air Hockey (seriously she's shockingly good at that game) he decided this solo game might be a little more fun.

We had a great time and look forward to another fun day out with Gran and Grandaddy soon.  This summer we're excited to get to see them lots and enjoy some time hanging out at their house in the pool.  woo hoo

4 Months Old

Zachary at 4 months old

As usual I am a little late posting this but here is Zachary's 4 month picture.  He is growing and changing so fast these days.  He continues to be a happy and easy going little guy.  He has a tooth coming in on the bottom front that I expect we'll see break through within the next month and he's grown to like and enjoy his pacifier.  We done a lot of going during this month and he's been such a trooper through it all.
Zachary smiles ALL the time.  He can't help himself from smiling when someone smiles at him and he is laughing a little as well.  This past week he laughed out loud for the first time without being tickled.  It was SO funny, to me at least, because he was laughing at Tyler who was crying and carrying on because he stepped on a rock and hurt his foot after swimming lessons.  Tyler was not amused, but Mommy was.  :)

Birthday Celebration

This year we celebrated Tyler's birthday with a busy day and a fun party.  The Saturday after Tyler's birthday was the day of his last soccer game, then after the game we had his party at Bounce U in Carrollton.  It was great timing so Tyler's team could join us for the party and the boys could enjoy playing together since we won't see most of them agian until the fall season starts.

very serious this soccer business

Let the Bouncing Begin!
The kids loved this bouncing ring, especially once Shaun went in there and let them jump "beat him up."
Side note, look HOW TALL Bailey is now.  She is 12 and I'm pretty sure will be taller than I am before the end of this year... stay tuned on that, I'm sure we'll have an update at Christmas.

Happy NINJAGO Birthday!
Another AWESOME cake made by my friend Jennifer.
Thanks Jen!  It looked great and tasted SO good!

WOO HOO slide!!

5 big candles for our big boy!

Riping into the gifts.  Talk about mass chaos!  Tyler got lots and Legos and a bunch of other super fun stuff.

Zachary enjoyed the party too... mainly all the attention from the grandparents.  Here he is lounging on one of the tables during the festivities and showing off his grins.  :)

Tyler's 5th Birthday

Tyler is 5 years old!  SO grown up this not so little guy is now!

This year Shaun and I decided to do something a little different for Tyler's birthday.  His birthday was on a Thursday and we both took the day off to spend with him doing whatever he wanted to do.  We didn't tell him until that morning and he was SO excited when I told him he didn't have to go to school but that we were going to take Zachary to school so Shaun and I could spend the day with him.

After we took Zachary to school Tyler wanted to go to the donut shop for breakfast so that is where we headed to start our morning.  Don't let that innocent face fool you this kid is NOT a cheap donut date.  He can really put away the donuts!

After breakfast we went to the grocery store to pick out cupcakes to take to school the next day to share with his class.  I had to get a few groceries too and since he was such a good sport at the store I let him open one of his presents when we got home.  It is a Ninjago spinner set with two spinners and a battle arena (translation: lego tops with a boundry pin to spin them in).

I think he liked it!

We spent the rest of our morning watching some shows at home and taking it easy (his choice), then we went out for pizzza for lunch.  After lunch we had Tyler take a short rest and Mommy & Daddy took a little nap too.

When he came downstairs after his nap we surprised him with his big present then we headed out to the movies to see The Lorax.  What a cute movie!  I think we all enjoyed that one.

After the movie we went to pick up Zachary so he could join in our fun.  Then we were off to Malibu Speedway for a quick game of Putt-Putt.  I forgot to take pictures we had so much fun!  :)

After Putt-Putt Tyler picked hamburgers for dinner and wanted to go where we went last year for his birthday dinner so off we went to Five Guys.

Zachary was tuckered out from the Putt-Putt and slept through most of dinner.

We're so very proud of Tyler and what a sweet little guy he is.  He's grown up a lot this year but I know this next year will bring even more maturity, fun and adventures for us all.  We love you Lil T!

3 Months Old

Zachary is 3 months old now

It has been a fun and busy month for our family.  Zachary is still growing fast and continues to be such a laid back, sweet little guy.  He's very vocal trying to "talk" to us a bit everyday and he LOVES watching and listening to his big brother Tyler.  It's so sweet to see my little guys enjoy each other and I can't wait to watch them get to know each other and become closer as they continue to grow up.
